Our Story

New owners in 2022!

We are a family-owned resort on the breathtaking shore of Palmer Lake, MI.

Our lakeside cabins are steps from the waterfront, while modern cabins and overnight suites are a stone's throw away from the shore. We offer three pontoon boat rentals in addition to convenient docks for our guests; we are also the exclusive marina on Palmer Lake. Our seasonal summer cafe, Nibbles, is a popular destination for locally-made ice cream and tasty meals. We strive to create memorable getaways for every occasion.

Please be advised that if your beloved pet causes concern to the other cabins because of barking, biting, failure to clean up waste, chewing, or running freely without supervision, we reserve the right to ask you to leave.

Pets are not allowed on furniture. If we find evidence of dogs on furniture such as fur, paw prints, tears, feces, urine, etc. a $200 cleaning fee will be charged.

Yes, we have extra parking for guests available. One area is at the end of the driveway near Lakeside Cabin 6. The other area is between the Overnight Suites house and the Modern Cabins. Please bring towels (bathing and beach), bug spray, sunscreen, toiletries, and charcoal. The cabins are furnished with kitchenware, paper towels, toilet paper, hand soap, trash bags, and coffee filters. We provide clean linens for the beds. We also have small kitchen appliances (Crock Pot, for example) available for guest rental.

  • Are there any additional fees to pay?

The only additional fees are for bringing pets, which is an extra $10 per day. Pets are not allowed on furniture. If we find evidence of your dog on furniture such as fur, paw prints, tears, feces, urine, etc. a $200 cleaning fee will be charged.

Fines include $200 for smoking inside the cabins and $100 for lost pontoon ladders. If any of our property is physically damaged, owner discretion is applicable for a specific amount of money applied toward reimbursement.

  • What is your cancellation policy?

Guest must pay in full at the time of reservation. If Guest cancels its reservation at least 90 days before Guest's stay is to begin, Guest may receive a full refund of Guest's deposit. If Guest cancels its reservation less than 90 days before Guest's stay is to begin, Guest shall receive a 75% refund and will forfeit the remaining 25%.

  • Do you offer any discounts?

We love a good deal; we hope you do, too! Cabin or suite reservations booked for seven days or more receive a 10% discount. Also, boat rentals receive 25% off for reservations spanning seven days or more.

  • When is check-in and check-out?

    Check-in is at 3 p.m. and check-out is at 11 a.m.

  • How long is my boat rental?

All boat rentals are from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. unless prior arrangements are made. If your boat rental says check-in on June 8 and check-out on June 9, this means you will have the boat on June 8 from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. This does not mean you are renting the boat on June 9. If you would like to reserve the boat for June 9 as well as the 8th, your reservation should be check-in on June 8 and check-out on June 10.

  • Why does the "Book Now" page show no availability?

Our booking engine does not show availability for two reasons:

    1) We do not allow same-day bookings past 7 p.m. EST

    2) The dates you have selected are unavailable. Boat and cabin availability is updated in real-time on a first-come, first-serve basis. Try adjusting your dates if you are flexible.

  • Can I rent a boat only?

Great news! You don't need to be a lodges guest to rent a pontoon boat. Sail away!

  • Do you offer courtesy holds?

We do not offer courtesy holds at this time. All reservations are booked on a real-time, first-come, first-serve basis through our website.

  • Will I receive a boat rental refund if it rains?

We do not offer any refunds for boat rentals based on inclement weather. We apologize for any inconvenience. Thank you for your understanding.

  • What is on the menu at Nibbles?

Our Nlbbles menu is subject to change. However, we generally offer the following:

EVERY DAY: Ice cream, shakes, malts, floats, waffle bowls or cones

FRIDAY - SUNDAY ONLY: Burgers, hot dogs, nachos with cheese, chili, or both, chili cheese dogs, pulled pork sandwiches, chips, pickles

  • Do your pontoons fit under the bridge to Long Lake?

We've gotten this question a lot - unfortunately, our pontoon boats will not fit under the bridge that connects to Long lake.
